Truthful 3-tier telemetry
Exact pane reports come first, passive terminal scraping second. Unknown values stay ?, so you never act on a speculative number.
A live terminal observability board for Herdr. Track token burn rates, observe agent status across workspaces, catch stalls, and restore layouts without leaving your terminal.
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mandoworks/roostr/main/scripts/install.sh | bash
[[keys.command]]
key = "prefix+r"
type = "plugin_action"
command = "roostr.toggle-board"
description = "roostr: toggle live board"
prefix + r (ctrl + b then r) toggles the board instantly inside Herdr.
A single board for the questions that decide whether to keep going. It reports what is exact, marks what is not, and never fills the gap with a guess.
Exact pane reports come first, passive terminal scraping second. Unknown values stay ?, so you never act on a speculative number.
Real-time pace multipliers and rate limit exhaustion ETAs keep a long batch from stalling at the worst possible moment.
Native Node.js standard library only. Sub-millisecond execution, no build step, and no supply chain surface to audit.
Continuous layout snapshots through roostr backups rebuild tabs, splits, and working directories after a crash.
Claude Code, Agy, OpenCode, Kilo, and Codex report into one screen with a shared status language and one set of cost columns.
Jump to a worker pane on Enter, rename a task with e, and toggle the board with prefix + r.
Open a pane for its exact report, or step back for the whole day. Roostr keeps both views one key away, with the same source of truth underneath.
Exact first. A statusline report carries the model, context, tokens, and cost. Screen scraping is the fallback, and it is tinted.
Unknown stays unknown. The board renders ? instead of an estimate. Lower bounds carry ≥ when the board started watching late.
Forecasts have a clock. Pace compares your burn with the rate that lasts to the reset. When the window will empty early, the board says when.
Wire the agent once and every pane reports exact numbers. Without a statusline the board still works, with values it reads from the screen marked as tinted.
Point Claude Code at a statusline script that reports exact usage on stdin. The report runs only inside a Herdr pane and stays silent.
"statusLine": {
"type": "command",
"command": "sh /path/to/roostr/examples/claude-statusline.sh"
}
Load the plugin in opencode.json. It reports the session title, model, tokens, and cost, at most once every two seconds.
"plugin": [
"/path/to/roostr/integrations/opencode/crew-board.mjs"
]
Antigravity hands its statusline JSON on stdin. Use the agy report path to carry model, effort, context, and each quota family.
"statusLine": {
"type": "command",
"command": "sh /path/to/roostr/examples/agy-statusline.sh"
}
Kilo shares the OpenCode plugin API. Point it at the same module with a file URL and the pane starts reporting.
"plugin": [
"file:///path/to/roostr/integrations/opencode/crew-board.mjs"
]
One command installs the plugin, links the binary, and sets the keybinding. The board works with no configuration and gets sharper as you wire each agent.
Run the curl line above, or install through Herdr directly.
herdr plugin install mandoworks/roostr
Press prefix + r, run roostr in any Herdr shell, or use the command palette.
Add a statusline for your agent. Exact reports replace screen estimates and turn every column honest.
